Three mistakes noob often make in Business Tycoon Online

Business Tycoon Online Open Beta began finally. During the Open Beta, I made a lot of friends and had great fun. Remembering the silly mistake I made, I think maybe I should write my experience down in the hope that this would be helpful to you all.

Mistake 1: Use Gratis Gold randomly.
Every new player will get some Gratis Gold. Usually, the Gold is spent on accelerating transportation and mass open. In my opinion, the gold can be kept for employee training.
According to the game, a player cannot buy Gold Contract with Gratis Gold. However, employee can be trained with Gratis Gold. It costs only 15 Gratis Gold to train your employee into a Green Employee. If you have some Green Employee work as Store Manager, you will get 5% Store Manager Bonus. Little by little, you will keep much ahead than others.

Mistake 2: Competition Effect and Zone Effect are neglected.
First of all, both stores of Business Level 1 and stores of Business Level 2 should be located in Residential Zone; otherwise, dislocation will make your revenue reduced. The higher grade your store is, the more you lose. Besides, it takes you much money and time to remove them.
Besides, it would be better to build your store to the block which has only 1 vacancy left. Be sure that there is not any store of your industry.
Please note that Competition Effect also exists if you set two stores in the same block.

Mistake 3: Poaching pointlessly
Think twice before poaching. You will not succeed even if your target is not 100% loyal. The confidence value makes great difference. And you are inferior in company levels, Intelligence value and Strategy Value. So my suggestion is to develop your strengthen.

In addition, the higher your company is, the more it costs to train your employee. So, start early, even if it failed, you lose a little. Otherwise, probably, it costs ten times as much as it cost now.
I posted my experiences here in the hope that it helps. What counts a lot is to sum up and analyze. Starting a business is not easy and we need keep thinking.

Mistake 4: Don't spend gratis gold on training ur white employee. u can recruit enough greens.

But if you spend your gratis gold on upgrading White employees to Green then you hire a green employee with the same talent. I'd feel just plain stupid. Lol. I only use Gratis Gold on occult training and making my stores upgrade faster lol. But definatly wasted it the first server I did.

i have 1 new mistake ive made it but in late game ) from limited to group u need 15 stores at perfect at least 5 of em level 3 and at group you need 20 stores perfect at least 12 of em level 3 so ive think they will give me 4 new stores to build but i need 7 more level 3 and ive deleted 3 level 1 and build 3 new level 3 but ive forgot it sayd i must have 15 stores at perfect to upgrate

I always make a character on a random server, try things out, then start my real character on the server of my choice. I definitely made the error with the gold. Not sure what mistake you are referring to with the poaching though.

Mistake 6 : fail to collect your bonus gold during the first three days
If you just started the game and still managed to read this then you are very lucky and wise:
just check in the game click on the 'City' menu,
now look in the list of the places below 'City', there is 'Welfare Center' please click it
now you can click on the 'Receive' button in front of 'The investor's help'
Don't forget to claim your free stuff there because you will get over 100 free gratis gold in total during your first 3 days.
Gratis gold is helpful, but its a very scarce and hard to get ressource for beginners (unless you buy gold with real money). Later, you will be able to get a few more gratis gold but dont miss that gold !
If you read this too late and havent done much so far anyway, then maybe you want to start over in a newer server new BTO servers open very often.

Mistake 7: clicking the 'Copy to chat' link in your Master grade employee that you just fulminated
you might as well rename her/him 'Poach Me', its free for the two first renamed employees (sarcasms).
I was kidding but the point of my post is: be careful as soon as you upgrade your corporation to small sized corporation, other players can 'steal' your employees
(and you have to upgrade your corporation to get a factory).

So there are actually two advices here:
1) Stay active or at least don't look as being inactive. at least log every 2 days  just log in and out if you dont have time to play, build or upgrade stores from time to time.

2) take care of your employees renew their contracts it will not prevent them to be poached but if you forget to renew contracts your employees will vanish even when they're not poached.
3) check for more infos in that forum about how to raise your employees loyalty and loyal employee cards

1st Mistake: Dodged (as I usually tend to go against the tutorial and the name "gratisgold" sounded like a scarce resource to spend too fast - used them to upgrade my stores though...)

2st Mistake: Failed (I ended up doing an Arcade in Downtown but swiftly moved it to the Residential Area when I readed the guides at the forum a couple of hours later)

3rd Mistake: None (I didn't know I could poach employees - me still missing plenty of features lol)
