Well for the beginner putting points in leadership is certainly a good choice in my view as because even we put it in wisdom producing factory goods take some time  and so to sell it in trade center or shops.Supply of raw material percentage various by some other facts like what type factory players have chosen to establish as well as what type of business is his. Off course we have to keep in mind we can increase raw material supply by making good number of friend through exchanging business card. Again if a player is not in the side to attack others and poach employees of others a strategy points has no value.

I have played 2 servers. Starting on my 3rd and going a completely different route.
My first server my goal was 500S/500W/1000L. I placed points 1/1/2 and did well but because i was new and did not know what i was doing i placed stores badly and no amount of Leadership is helping me overcome that.

Second Server i decided to do 1000S/0W/1000L. I cant produce goods to save my life. Ive poached a few employees, but only from people recently inactive.
I did better on this server but it did not take me long to find out i have alot of extra TCN. I can Spend it on Luck fragments though which are helpful and cars, and trips. But in the end there only so many of those you can buy and your willing to wait on. Im still playing this server and although my Attributes aren't maxed yet, i can tell i will not be happy with this set up. Too much Money and most people do not have over 500 strategy, making them easy pickings for someone with 1k.

Third Server-Final decision.
Well i just started this server and i am already happy with my final decision.
1000S/1000W/0L. With a Supplying Factory. The money i have lost on Leadership i am making up for 2x in the market. Have not had to buy Raw Materials once, and i am putting out enough Goods each day to set up my stores with a full 24h batch(nice boost) and have a few left over for selling.
You will need a large Warehouse.  
I aim for poaching the best employees and competing in landmarks.

lol i see all 3 of those as wrong, i do 1000 wisdom 1000 leadership for maximum profits and growth

I totally agree with you, on the long run leadership is not that important. As long as you have enough TCN to donate, work on media, play luck frags etc you don't really need a lot more TCN. 1000S/1000W/0L is not such a bad choice. People overestimate leadership

PS: Wisdom is a must!
with a supplying factory you will get a huge extra amount of raw mats to sell for millions! Drawback is your production will be a lil bit slow.
And don't use your own goods, buy them from trade center! You don't wanna waste that sales exp
