Factory system explained [by Serenade]

Last edited by Serenade at 1/28/2011 21:40

Ok guys, here is the guide that I promised. I put in some more info, combined some sections, and left out some (for example the list of scrolls, materials, and props at the end of the original guide). I hope it's not too messy ^^

Conditions to create your factory:
1. Your company needs to reach small – sized.
2. Go to Business – Company Structure –promote an employee with Product talent to Factory Assistant.
3. Cost: 10,000 TCN
FAQ: Where do I find an employee with Product talent?
Answer: The 1st employee that the system gave you when you did the serial quests should have product talent, or you can recruit one through Business – Recruitment.

Factory types:
Balanced factory: raw materials supply rate and production rate are normal. Without any bonus from industry (Sales industry give 5% bonus to both rates), wisdom attribute or vehicle, you will begin with:
Raw materials supply rate: 200/day ------ Production rate: 24 cases/day
Supplying factory: raw materials supply rate +50%, production rate -50%
Without bonus, they will be:
Raw materials supply rate 300/day ------ Production rate: 12 cases/day
Productive factory: raw materials supply rate -50%, production rate +50%
Without bonus, they will be:
Raw materials supply rate 100/day ------ Production rate: 36 cases/day

Factory devices:
You need to reach certain tech exp requirements to upgrade your factory devices. You will start with device CC (goods of quality H: 10% store revenue. Production rate: 24 cases/day).
Upgrade requirements:

CC to C: tech exp in any industry: 120. Upgrade time: 1 hour. (Goods of quality G: 25% store revenue. 48 cases/day)

C to B: tech exp in any industry: 480. Upgrade time: 2 hours. (Goods of quality F: 50% store revenue. 96 cases/day)

B to A: tech exp in any industry: 1440. Upgrade time: 3 hours. (Goods of quality E: 75% store revenue. 144 cases/day)

A to AA: tech exp in any industry: 4752. Upgrade time: 4 hours. (Goods of quality D: 100% store revenue. 216 cases/day)

AA to X: tech exp in any industry: 8100. Upgrade time: 5 hours. (Goods of quality C: 150% store revenue. 270 cases/day)

X to X100: tech exp in any industry: 12960. Upgrade time: 6 hours. (Goods of quality B: 200% store revenue. 324 cases/day)

X100 to S: tech exp in any industry: 28512. Upgrade time: 7 hours. (Goods of quality A: 225% store revenue. 405 cases/day)

S to SS: tech exp in any industry: 42768. Upgrade time: 8 hours. (Goods of quality AA: 250% store revenue. 506 cases/day)

SS to SSS: tech exp in any industry: 64152. Upgrade time: 9.5 hours. (Goods of quality AAA: 300% store revenue. 633 cases/day)

SSS to Z: tech exp in any industry: 99792. Upgrade time: 12 hours. (Goods of quality A+: 325% store revenue. 769 cases/day)

Z to ZZ: tech exp in any industry: 156816. Upgrade time: 16 hours. (Goods of quality A++: 350% store revenue. 890 cases/day)

*The production rates above are of balanced factory*

Tech exp: You gain tech exp when you produce goods of the highest quality you can (1 exp/case)
Example:  Let’s say you are currently able to produce goods of quality G.
If you produce goods of quality H, you will not gain any tech exp.
Moreover, if you are producing goods of quality G, and at the same time you are upgrading your device to produce goods of quality F, the current batch of quality G will not gain any exp.

Sales exp: You gain sales exp when you sell your goods of the highest quality. (1exp/case). Selling goods of lower quality than what your current device can produce will not give you sales exp. Also, you must sell goods to the system or other players to gain sales exp. Selling in your stores will not give you any exp. And again, sell everything before you hit the upgrade device button.
If you purchase goods from the market and resell them - even to other players or the system - you WILL NOT gain any sales exp.
At certain sales exp (60, 260, 860, 3100, 5600, 9700, 21350, 32076, 51322, 89814, 128306), your warehouse caps and raw materials supply rate will increase.

Raw materials
Your factory will generate raw materials everyday. You can also purchase them from other players, buy material box in the Mall, or use props if you have them. You can increase the factory supply rate by putting attribute points into Wisdom, cooperating with people from different industries (see Aenya’s guide for more details), and/or gaining sales exp. Raw materials can be divided into 4 types: Metal (main raw material for Entertainment), Cloth (Sales), Cereal (Catering), and Wood (Service).

Productions
Cost of producing 1 case of goods:
Goods of quality H: main raw material – 8, other materials – 2 each.
Goods of quality G: main raw material – 17, other materials – 3 each.
Goods of quality F: main raw material – 34, other materials – 6 each.
Goods of quality E: main raw material – 51, other materials – 8 each.
Goods of quality D: main raw material – 68, other materials – 11 each.
Goods of quality C: main raw material – 90, other materials – 15 each.
Goods of quality B: main raw material – 120, other materials – 20 each.
Goods of quality A: main raw material – 150, other materials – 30 each.
Goods of quality AA: main raw material – 180, other materials – 40 each.
Goods of quality AAA: main raw material – 220, other materials – 55 each.
Goods of quality A+: main raw material – 270, other materials – 70 each.
Goods of quality A++: main raw material – 320, other materials – 85 each.

Some special goods:
Specialty goods: 150% store revenue (system gift)
Albert goods: 300% store revenue (system gift)

During production, you have a small chance to obtain some extra goods:
Broken goods: 15% store revenue
White goods: 30% store revenue
Black goods: 40% store revenue
Blue goods: 60% store revenue
Silver goods: 85% store revenue
Exquisite goods: 125% store revenue
Sumptuous goods: 175% store revenue

Scrolls – Materials – Props
There are several scrolls, materials (not raw materials) and props in the game. They are divided into 3 levels: Basic, Advanced, Super. You can obtain those from Employees’ routines, Mystery Chests, Guild Allowance, or the Market.

Factory system explained [by Serenade]

At certain sales exp (60, 260, 860, 3100, 5600, 9600, 21600, 21072, 51322), your warehouse caps and raw materials supply rate will increase.
This is very important. If you don't sell your goods for sales exp or only produce and sell goods for one industry then your RM output will never increase.

I think people not knowing this tidbit is one of the factors behind the cloth shortage we're experiencing right now.

Indeed...sales exp increases raw materials output by ~2.3...

Correction: the first 2 sales exp points (60-260) really increase the output by ~2.3...the 3rd one (860) only increases the output by 1.9...working on my 4th point...why do they have to use diminishing rates instead of a nice exponential curve ...

So, to get sales experience, you have to sell finished products of your highest level through the "trade" system to other players, correct?

Other players or system, just NOT in your stores.

Serenade Posted at 14-Feb-2010 13:20
I don't think you even have an option to put goods of any other industry in your stores.  When you specify what Factory goods to ship to your store (either via Purchase goods or Switch to These Goods), the only things that will appear in the drop-down are goods of your industry that are in your Warehouse.

Yes GeoN, no option to put goods from different industries...I just know that now, but too lazy to edit the guide The info was from the original guide so I just put it there
Guess I will fix it now, just a simple delete

If you bought goods from another player then sold to the system would this could towards sales exp?  Granted it was the highest quality you were able to produce?  Thanks in advance

You can only sell and get xp for the amount that you have produced. Alltho, you can use your own goods in the stores which you wont get any xp for, but then buy the goods from another player and sell them back on the market to get the xp.

@Toothpaste & nate0123,
It doesn't matter if you resell them to the market or to the system, reselling goods will NOT give you any exp.

Maybe you sold those goods with some of your newly produced ones. I have tested this many times and I am sure it will not work. Otherwise, you could exchange goods with a friend infinitely and max out your sales exp already.

Toothpaste,
Now that you split the thread, you may need to change the link in the guide index. The link right now still links to the old position which is not the guide's position anymore.

Hi guys,
Just to let you know that I have updated my guide a little bit to give all of you some more info on sales exp. In case you are lazy to reread the whole thing, here is what I added:
Sales exp                                       Raw materials supply rates increase by
     60                                                                         2.27
    260                                                                        5.70
    860                                                                        11.0
   3100                                                                      21.23

It seems the warehouse capacity increases slightly together with raw material output.
So the higher the raw material output is, the higher warehouse capacity is

Yes I do have that info in my guide. I just didnt take note of the changes so I cant give you all the accurate increase in warehouse cap with each sales exp requirement.

It is very useful since I have had shortages of my  main raw material. I didn't know sales experience will give me better raw materials supply
What I don't find "fair" is the suggested market price when you try to sell them. I think it's better to sell raw material but that does not give you sales experience
I will try to get to 60 but will need to sacrifice my revenue since selling them in my highest level stores is more profitable
Thanks for this guide, quite useful

Dear OgreRok,
At first, please click into Business---Company Information---Upgrade, then you will catch sight of the conditions of Upgrading next company level. Secondly, the store level can be divided into: Terrible-Bad-Substandard-Medium-Good-Excellent-First class-Perfect. (Stores of business level 3 can be upgraded as excellent stores). You have to upgrade it step by step, when you meet the upgrading store conditions.
More information, please check the FAQ in game, or reach out to us, we are at your service.

Get 1 of your stores to Perfect, then go to Business tab and "Company info" then hit upgrade.
