+9 Gear.....

Its such a huge waste of gems to get +9 gear, you have to be extremely lucky to not waste gems. Getting a +9 will probably take 10-20 exquisite gems.

I can see this competition with maybe 6-8 pieces being enough for 1st place.

Also spending money to do it would be painful, Arena Coupons is the only way to go.

Yea the top players of the last WC already have maxed out mastery/acumen gear. So all they gotta do is get gems from Qualifications and Weekly Tournament and they'll easily get their equipment to +9.

s1 has half price gold so doesnt seem as bad buying gems compaired to the later servers so obviously they have people buying them for the ranks

personaly i dont feel like spending 500 gold just for 1 chance at 1 point in the rankings

the ranks should be 1 pt for each lvl 7+ kit rather than a lvl 9 so its like you used 300,000tcn 82gold for each one

On closer examination, I think one of the accounts in the ranks is a BTO account, which raises another issue that I thought was dealt with earlier, but anyways, make that only 2 on S1 in the Attire ranks.

I have 2 +9s but i made them before the competition started.

I have 7 pieces of gear at +8 right now. After the qualification ill spend 1 gem on each one to get +9s.

Im not sure of the exact percentage, but it seems like +7 -> +8 -> +9 is around 33% chance each time , anyone else think so?

yes its a lot lower % than that id say about 33% to get from 7 > 8 and 10% from 8 > 9

I successfully used like... 6 exquisite gems in a row.

Most luck I've ever had at anything in this game. 2 pieces of attire up to level 9.

Out of 72 exquisite gems I got from exchanging elite battle coupons, I got 5 pieces of attire to level 9.

It's evil I tell you! Evil! I spent over 100 gems just to get 6 pieces of attire! If I had been using real money for the upgrades, I'd either be curled up in a dark closet somewhere with my head bashed in or living on the streets with a "BTO Stole My Babies" cardboard sign around my neck.

I have 8 pieces of +9 now.
The last 4 pieces took 62 exquisite gems so average 15 gems per lvl6->lvl9.
The two previous 2 pieces to that took me 36 gems, avg. 18 gems each.

s11 has only 2 people with more than 6 +9 attires ...

It's the same lame thing than when we had lottery and arena coupons. People dominating in the Arena gets a lot of reward , but even more by using their "rewards" to get the top position in the contests ..  Giving reward that will bring another reward is cool for them , lame for people who don't spend as much gold as they do.

They should make a contest where it's based on luck , like a daily draw or something , and the "luckiest" person get a really good reward. But I know how greedy BTO is and it will always be about the paying players

It is very lame that we can get the gems with arena tickets but then the attire upgrades fail all the time and we lose the gems.  So really we are not getting rewards from the arena.
